"For the first time, Subaru invited Facebook fans to vote on a charitable organization for the automaker's fourth annual Share The Love event. After three weeks of voting, Facebook fans added the Make-A-Wish Foundation to a roster of charities anticipated to receive a collective $5 million in donations from Subaru. The Share The Loveevent, which donates $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased from Nov. 19 through Jan. 3, has donated nearly $15 million to charitable causes since the program's inception three years ago. The other recipient organizations that will benefit from this year's program include American Forests, the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®), Meals On Wheels Association of America, and Special Olympics.
"At Subaru, we support causes that our owners are also passionate about. This year we took the Share The Loveevent a step further and asked our Facebook fans to decide which organization they'd like to add to the designated charities for this year's event.
